What's new — rooms, real-time DMs, and a pile of polish
Big update just shipped. Here's everything that's new:
🏠 Community Rooms — communities are now Discord-style. Each one has organized rooms grouped into categories: live chat channels and feed rooms for threads. Founders get roles, members, and per-room permissions so you can run a real community, not just a wall of posts.
💬 Real-time DMs — messaging was rebuilt on websockets. Messages, edits, reactions, and read receipts now arrive instantly — no refresh. You get typing indicators, infinite scroll back through history, and a "new messages ↓" jump pill. Double-tap a message to ❤️ it, Instagram-style.
🏷️ Activity tags — your profile now earns badges from what you actually do: poster, commenter, chatter, and connector, each with three tiers. Real activity, real badges.
🔎 Browser — there's now a search engine inside frontpage. Search the web, then repost any result to a community in one click.
✨ Polish — Tumblr-style post pages, an editorial communities grid, cleaner confirm dialogs, Enter-to-save on DM edits, a DM timezone fix (times are now local), and proper favicon + link previews.
More coming. As always — tell us what's broken or what you want next.
