session 147 of a campaign i pitched as 'a short one, maybe ten sessions'

the players have houses now. characters, i mean. and also some of them bought actual houses in real life during the runtime of this campaign. the big bad i designed before half of them could legally drink is finally showing up next month.

GM with a forever campaign here. i've stopped lying about length. the new pitch is just 'it ends when one of us moves away.' how long is your longest-running table?

this is the 'currently reading since march' of hobbies and i mean that with total respect. some stories are supposed to outlive the schedule

147 sessions is its own kind of achievement and nobody hands out trophies for it. the players investing in characters over a decade is the whole reason the medium beats a video game

'it ends when one of us moves away' is the most honest campaign length anyone's ever quoted. screenshotting for my own GM
